Transparency in Our Operations
Our promise to the community and those we serve.
Commitment to Public Trust
At Family Promise, we believe that transparency is the cornerstone of public trust. As a 501(c)(3) organization, we make our financial and operational information, including our 2023 and 2024 annual tax returns (Form 990’s), publicly available for review. This practice ensures that our community can see how we manage and utilize the resources generously entrusted to us.
Oversight by Our All-Volunteer Board
Our operations are meticulously guided by a governing body of 10 voting members, all of whom are independent and serve on a volunteer basis. This 100% volunteer Board provides a critical layer of oversight, ensuring our mission remains the driving force behind every decision. Board members receive no compensation for their service, and the CEO’s salary is set responsibly using the MIT living wage calculator as a benchmark.
Direct Support: How Your Funds Are Used
Our financial resources are channeled directly into programs and services that provide tangible support to families experiencing housing insecurity. In the last year, our total program service expenses amounted to over $600,000, funding critical initiatives like:
- Shelter Intake Hub: A 24/7 hotline that connected over 700 individuals with emergency shelter resources.
- Family Services: Assisted 145 families in securing stable housing, with 23 achieving stability within the first 13 weeks.
- Rapid Rehousing Program: Helped 145 families move into stable housing, with 141 of them doing so without the need for subsidized vouchers.
Additionally, the organization provided over $72,000 in direct grants and similar assistance. Our focus on direct support ensures that every contribution makes a significant, positive impact on the lives of those we are honored to serve.
