Family Promise of Puget Sound utilizes various media, including photographs, video recordings, and quotes, to promote our mission, share individual success stories (with consent), and raise awareness about homelessness. This policy outlines our commitment to respecting individual privacy while also seeking consent for the use of their likeness and stories in our promotional and outreach materials.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all individuals, staff, and volunteers of Family Promise of Puget Sound. It covers the capture and use of photographs, video recordings, media appearances, and quotes of individuals (and their children) for all Family Promise of Puget Sound promotional and outreach purposes.
3. Guiding Principles
* Respect for Privacy: Prioritize the privacy and dignity of all individuals.
* Informed Consent: Obtain clear and explicit consent before using any individual’s likeness, voice, or story.
* Transparency: Clearly communicate the purpose and scope of media use.
* Right to Revoke: Respect the right of individuals to revoke their consent for future use.
* Promotional Purpose: Utilize media to further Family Promise of Puget Sound’s mission and impact.
4. Photo, Video, and Media Consent
I/we understand that there will be several times during my/our stay at Family Promise of Puget Sound that there will be activities where photographs, video recordings, media, and/or television may be present.
I/we therefore GRANT Family Promise of Puget Sound permission to use any likeness, recordings of voices, or quotes for promotional material for Family Promise of Puget Sound, its web pages, social media accounts, newsletters, or magazines, newspaper articles, or other material written about Family Promise of Puget Sound of myself/ourselves and the children for whom I am the parent/guardian.
I/we also understand that I am able to revoke this permission with respect to materials, photographs, pictures, programs, or recordings which have not already been created. Such revocation must be provided to Family Promise of Puget Sound in writing.
